At G4L Records we believe this is simply about two things -- the artist and the fans. The artists are the ones creating the music that enriches our lives, picks us up when we’re down, brings us back to that special moment in time, and so much more. And you the fan, all of us actually because we’re right there in the seats with you, your support gives us the opportunity to continue to deliver new and exciting tunes to create more memories, experiences, and hopefully leave a legacy for future generations.

The record label’s part in all this? Well, at G4L Records we believe we’re here to support the artist, empower them, and help them develop and produce their best music possible -- and get that out to the marketplace.

G4L Records is a full service Los Angeles based Record Label and Music Services Company. We launched G4L Records with our first artist, To Whom It May, in July 2018 and charted them to Billboard Heatseekers #10, and iTunes Metal #10 between two Metallica albums -- right out of the gate with our first release.

As we sign and develop more and more artists, in all genres, we hope to continue to bring you music that moves and inspires you.

With G4L Sync Licensing, launched June 2019, we continue with our hands on personal approach and methodology of working with a select few unique, diverse and transcendent artists to get their songs placed in film, tv, commercials and video games.. Markus is responsible for the day to day management, marketing and sales at G4L Records. His path to founding a record label though is one less traveled. Coming from a family of artists, Markus first went into business and the corporate world rather than the arts. He started as a stock broker with Smith Barney and AG Edwards performing in the top 5% of all AGE stock brokers (of over 6000 brokers) for fee based accounts. From there he went into technology and software with a stop at internet startup Netsmart (funded by Citibank) where he was responsible for strategic partnerships and sales. He went to Quest Software for a few years quickly moving onto a select team of 8 (out of over 1500 sales reps) that sold database and application management software to Fortune 500 companies in North America and closed million dollar enterprise level software deals. Not quite being fulfilled he left to launch a marketing firm, Synchronicity Marketing, that he grew into a premier boutique marketing  & advertising agency. With his agency he helped his clients outperform benchmarks and indices by provided branding, media planning & buying, advertising campaigns, print ads, mail, radio, pr and digital marketing services in ppc, ppm, seo, email marketing and web development.  The artist in Markus had finally found his groove! and the ability to combine his expertise with his love for music was just too much to ignore. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams and launched G4L Records in 2018 with over 25 years business experience. 

Basketball and football were his first life having played 8 years of football and 14 years of basketball earning high school team and league MVP, 1st Team All CIF Southern Section, 1st Team All Orange County in basketball. He went on to play at Golden West College where he was a 2 time MVP, All CA State Honorable Mention, the 2nd All Time Leading Scorer in GWC school history, and Street & Smith named him one of the top Junior College players in the nation his sophomore year. He earned his Division 1 scholarship to the University of the Pacific before a knee injury forced him to retire. Markus was recently named one of Newport Mesa’s top 25 high school basketball players of all time.

Markus is active in community and charity circles donating and volunteering his time to many organizations. He has produced 10 charity events and has raised over $1.25 million to date including “Edith’s Charity Golf to benefit JDRF” in memory of his mother, and as a Board Member for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) OC Chapter.

In 2018, he launched G4L Rock 4 Toys — an annual toy drive for the Elizabeth House, and will be launching Rock 4 The Cure in memory of his mother to benefit diabetes in 2020.
